A general strike pushes Tunisair to cancel all its flights
A general strike broke out last week, hitting several sectors including air transport. The Tunisian sky darkens a little more with the approach of the summer season with the proliferation of strike calls where employees are demanding an improvement in their working conditions, including an increase in wages.
Following this strike which lasted two days, the traffic of several airlines serving the country’s airports, including Tunisair, was severely disrupted.
Thursday, June 16, 2022. The Tunisian company has invited its customers to postpone their journeys because of the strike, this time national. However, passengers who refuse to postpone their departures may be reimbursed for the cost of their plane tickets. Their refund requests can be made online.
A call for a strike has therefore been launched throughout the country of Tunisia, which should have a strong impact on all lines of the national company Tunisair and other operators such as Nouvelair, including foreign operators serving Tunisia, such as Transavia and Air France.
Travelers have been urged to reschedule their journeys where possible.
