ONTT and Transavia France collaborate to develop Tunisian tourism

Transavia has just taken a new step in its expansion strategy in Tunisia by entering into a partnership with the Tunisian National Tourist Office (ONTT). This collaboration aims to attract no less than 2 million French tourists by 2030. The partnership was officially sealed by Helmi Hassine, Director General of ONTT, and Olivier Mazzucchelli, CEO of the French low-cost airline.

One of the key objectives of this partnership is to increase the number of air links between the two countries. Indeed, a new flight is planned to connect Tabarka-Aïn Draham in Tunisia from France. This initiative is part of a broader desire to make the beauties of Tunisia more accessible to French tourists, encouraged by direct connections and competitive fares.

In 2024, Transavia aims to transport 1.7 million passengers on these new routes, thus demonstrating its commitment and confidence in the Tunisian destination.

As a reminder, last year, no less than four thousand two hundred and forty-five flights were operated by the airlines Tunisair, Nouvelair, and of course Transavia, to connect the airports of the two nations.

The subsidiary of the Air-France – KLM group dominated the market in terms of capacity, having transported 1.3 million passengers. This remarkable expansion illustrates the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in Tunisia, a market considered strategic and growing. With this new partnership, Transavia and ONTT hope not only to increase the tourist flow but also to enrich the traveler experience thanks to a more diversified offer adapted to the needs of French tourists.
