Eurowings inaugurates flights to two Tunisian destinations
Eurowings is expanding its international flight network with two new flights serving Djerba and Monastir from Munich airport. The two weekly flights, which will begin in May 2024, offer travelers an easy way to explore this region of Tunisia without having to worry about long-haul trips or expensive direct flights.
The German low-cost carrier’s new route from Munich offers easy access to the ports of Tunis and Sousse, as well as various beaches spread between the two coastal towns. Tourists can also discover tourist attractions such as the amphitheater of El Djem, the Ouled el Hadef mosque, the fort Borj el Kebir, the oasis of Nefta and many other sites which constitute the unique identity of this region. In addition, Lake Bezgha offers visitors the opportunity to observe birds, walk along the beach or practice water sports such as water skiing, among other activities accessible in the region.
These two weekly flights depart from Munich Airport Terminal 2 throughout the tourist season, from late April to late October 2024, offering travelers the opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds of Djerba-Zarzis International Airport ( DJE) which will welcome the 180-seat A320 on Saturdays and Wednesdays at 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. The same aircraft will land at Habib Bourguiba International Airport in Monastir (MIR) every Friday at 6:10 a.m. and every Tuesday at 7:00 a.m.
Improved air connectivity to North Africa beyond this season has allowed Eurowings passengers to benefit from fast transfer times, especially when combined with other short-haul destinations on offer by Eurowings. It is therefore easier than ever for tourists to visit this region without having to worry about convenience or strict regulations imposed by the authorities of certain countries to visit North African countries.
