EasyJet deploys its wings between Geneva and Enfidha in Tunisia
The low-cost airline easyJet will launch a new seasonal service in the spring between Geneva and Enfidha, the third to its only destination in Tunisia.
From March 29 to October 29, 2022, the British low-cost flight specialist will offer three flights a week between its base in Geneva-Cointrin and Enfidha airport, operated in Airbus single-aisle aircraft. Departures are scheduled for Tuesday at 5:45 p.m., Thursday at 12:00 p.m. and Saturday at 7:65 p.m. (arrivals at 9:00 p.m., 3:10 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. respectively); return flights will leave Tunisia on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., Thursday at 9:45 a.m. and Saturday at 5:20 p.m. (arrivals at 4:40 p.m., 10:55 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. respectively). EasyJet will be without competition on this route, its third to the airport near Hammamet after those departing from London-Gatwick and Manchester.
She explains in a press release from the Swiss airport that “the seaside town of Hammamet in Tunisia will delight families and athletes, and underlines the decision of the Swiss authorities to “remove the test obligation for people vaccinated or cured at the entrance in Switzerland from January 22, 2022, as well as the removal of the second test between the 4th and 7th day in the territory: very good news for Swiss tourism, especially for the ski season” according to easyJet.
The low cost had abandoned Tunisia in 2015 after the attack in Sousse, which killed 38 people, including 30 Britons; it landed for the first time in Tunisia in June 2015, with a route between Stansted and Monastir.
