Tunisair: Increase in passenger traffic at the national airline

Tunisair has experienced significant growth in the last quarter, according to the latest data released by the Tunis Stock Exchange website. Between January and March 2023, this operator recorded a 29% increase in its turnover, reaching nearly 292 million dinars.

This financial performance reflects a notable increase in passenger traffic, with 509,000 people choosing Tunisair for their travel, an increase of 24% compared to the same period the previous year. This growth is mainly attributable to the company’s international flights, which offset a slight drop in attendance on domestic routes, which fell from 33.1% to 28.8% of total flights.

These results are particularly encouraging for Tunisair, which is seeking to recover from the difficulties caused by the global health crisis and return to its pre-pandemic traffic level. The dynamism observed on international routes underlines the renewed attractiveness of the Tunisian operator on the global market, despite persistent challenges on the domestic front.
